Horse Riding at Bushbaby Stables

Bushbaby Lodge is a home to some of the most beautiful horses in Uganda. Very friendly and easy to ride, our horses are well-trained and no riding experience is required. All riders and non-riders beginning at the age of 2 years and above are welcome. Come for a ride, a lesson, or to learn the magic of stable management.

Blaze, Collins, and Njoki enjoy spending their days munching on grass around the Bushbaby farm estate, being groomed and doted on by guests during Stable Management sessions, and giving rides through beautiful farm and village routes. Come see and experience these healthy, beautiful creatures yourself.

Riding Lessons

Progress from beginner to advanced equestrian skills including posture, effective communication with your horse, trotting, cantering, galluping on the Bushbaby riding arena and through the farm estate.

Stable Management

Can you tell the difference between a martingale and a girth? Learn how to tuck up and care for horses: feeding, grooming, cleaning, and mucking out the stable. Get to know these beautiful creatures in a whole new way. Great for kids and adults.
